About This Website
We do not have the healthcare system that we want in the United States today - too many people can’t access care; treatment and outcomes are significantly variable across the nation and between groups; costs are not managed well; information technology is supremely underutilized; and the list goes on. We cannot, however, just dwell on the problems of today. We must keep our eye on the healthcare system that we want for tomorrow. Our patients deserve no less.
The posts on this website will discuss issues in healthcare today and what we should be doing to get to the healthcare system of tomorrow.
It will also serve as a personal, professional website for me, Andrew Barna.
